Replacing Tip on OB+

need Tip replaced badly and can’t find any carbon fiber pads..

Definitely not doing it myself, there’s a few people who repair cues around town. Wanted to get information before I contacted any.

What's wrong with the c/f pad that's there?
You don't have to change them when you replace the tip.

1st question to your guys around town.
Do you have experience with ob shaft tip replacements?
When the say yes
Say ok, so you know the c/f pad has to remain or be replaced if it's to thin,
Correct?
Or
Even better question.
Ask them to tell you about the pad between the tip and ferrule.

Could a Mezz or Predator tip pad work? I know their carbon offerings with smaller ferrules use vault/tip plates or whatever they are called. Always weirded me out how Mezz have this plate for the Ignite, but not for the Sigma line of shafts which also have smaller ferrules.

I have the ob-1+ with the wooden ferrule.

ob-1 and ob-2 have a wooden ferrule.classic and classic pro had a white plastic ferrule. All had multi lam shafts. The plus shafts (wood and plastic ferrules) were 4 part lams like the older tiger shafts. Tiger may still make their wood shafts like this I dont know (Tried all the ob shafts except the Fusion and Carbon Fiber)
