I never worked with this stuff before so i was wondering if I had a core and handle ready to use how fast can you turn down this type of wood? It looks like a solid piece of plastic does it stay that way all the way to the center? I bought it from another AZ member who purchased it from wildwoods if that helps. Can I turn it down fast or just a little faster or should I just do my normal schedule with it?

the wood is ready to go when you're ready. i've had no problem. you will want to core mostly for weight distribution as the stabilizer adds alot of weight. the center may have less compond in it because some woods penetrate better than others ie:maple does well, cocobolo would not work well because its dense and oiler. if you like the stabilzed wood there is a guy over by grand rapids that i think is still doing stabilizing. let me know and i'll try to get ahold of him for you.
