Review of my new Meucci Power Piston

I would like to shoot with a Power Piston cue just to see how they shoot. I've always wondered what they were like. I'm keeping both my Meucci's though even though I dont shoot with them anymore. I'm getting my custom guy to re-do them soon. I'm refinishing my M-4 leaving it the same. I'm gonna change the acrylic blue rings with turqoise rings. Thats where most of the bubbles are in the finish on my HP-3. So flush turqoise rings should fix that at the joint and above the butt plate. The points look painted on and if they are I'm going to get my guy to try and straighten some of the points as they are terribly uneven. Will probably get all the dots changed to turqoise dots as well. I'm going to change the diamonds on the points on the forearm in turqoise as well. I think it will look good with all the black and birdseye. I might try a darker stain to make the black and turqoise stand out that much more. I'm going to get the pin pulled out and install a 3/8x10 and get a custom shaft built for it as I can get a custom shaft with matching ringwork cheaper than a black dot costs now. I'll probably then sell my red dot shaft as it wont fit my customized HP-3.

I've shot with Meucci's for over thirty years. Never had a problem with any of them. Always considered myself lucky, I guess, because I've sure heard a zillion complaints on the various pool forums. Never heard a complaint in the pool halls I've been in, though. There have been several guys that have gone out and bought Meucci's because of seeing and playing with my different ones.

About 6 months ago I purchased an Ultra Piston and I shoot more with that than I do the other Meucci's I still have. I prefer the Ultimate Weapon shaft paired up with the Ultra Piston Power butt. I prefer the feel of the Ultra butt to many of my cues.

Thanks for the review.
