Revisit TSA Carry On

Flight Attendants union was responsible for getting pool cues on the list and to this day is making damn sure they do not fall off.

I assume there is at least one senior member of their union whose boyfriend played pool and regularly beat her when there was too much ice in his drink or the snack selection was nothing but healthy options.

Odd in my training it suggests its a carrying capacity problem. Assigning blame wont help anyone. Saying now is the time will.
Once you have enough eyes on the luggage a bigger target is ready

As regular users our verification of existing processes has been neglected in civilization. Working together to solve our problems like luggage is huge.

This chat proves it can work, rules are not universal local user errors cause more problems, lack of training or knowledge being the main cause.

I'm totally calling Southwest's customer service number tomorrow, hell, it's worth a shot!
Yep, you were hosed. Even sports equipment rides free in exchange for one of your two checked bags, unless it's oversize or overweight.

Or

If you're a diva. :ROFLMAO:

Definitely call.

i fly delta or united if i cant get delta. united has issues and sometimes i get hung overnight someplace .
the other airlines seem to have too many issues for me.
but some things in life you gotta pay for so just do it.

Someone said I couldn't carry soft tip darts on the plane, had to check them, but that I could carry a pool stick.
I said no way you can carry a pool stick, but looked, and yes my darts were forbidden.

You can bring on a crampon though. Look that up. (well with special instructions)
The list of items you can bring on is comical.
Antlers? Boxing gloves? my 3 darts though with plastic tips, look out.

Watch out for that pool stick, move the crampon out of the way though.
and skateboards and razor sharp ice skates. so inconsistent! it would be great if we could gate check our cases with cues, like a stroller...

A pool cue and case is not bigger than a duffle if you can carry a duffle then you can surely carry a cue case. I don't travel with my cues. Its not worth it unless you are playing in a tournament.

Don't want to chance it with ivory cues. I think I need to flat out get rid of these ivory cues.

You were charged at the "sporting equipment" rate, which is their only $75 rate. That is the price for a windsurf board. You evidently were screwed by the check-in people. The Southwest website explains this stuff in detail. They don't even charge extra for a bicycle unless it is over 50 pounds or longer than 62 inches.
I called Southwest and they seemed to agree. They said they'd get back to me in a few days but it sounded like they're going to give me back my money. Thanks Bob!

Bob is now entitled to 20% of whatever you recover from Southwest.

Also, for the record Southwest is a city bus with wings.

Seems fair to me, but then again, I'm the asshole who paid $150 for a ticket for my disposable travel cue in the first place.

Good luck getting a cue case inside a duffle through security.

this is why I want gate check like a stroller. hell, they let walking canes on which is basically a cue butt...
I had a bag gate checked once. After we landed, they set it in the jetway and anybody that exited before me could have stolen it.

My cues are worthless anyways. It’s has ivory and I’m not going to ever travel with it or go across state lines.

It just stays in California. LOL

I don’t want the hassle.

part of living in any state and country, is accepting their politics, rules, laws, and thinking. if you cant, move. simple as that.
