Thoughts on repairing a Predator shaft? I bought used unseen, shame on me but I have good history. The buyer is happy to allow a return. But, It plays like a dream If you orient it right. All shaft markings prove out to be Predator including serial #. My best guess is it is faced wrong. I have reached out to predator and their web site shows a $20 cost for a joint refacing. Perhaps a reject or second got out of the factory. My Joss is my daily player of more than 25 years and the original shaft and my 314 shaft roll and play perfectly. Thoughts?

What's the problem? You bought a used shaft. Facings change.
You could start a Go Fund me in the Main Forum or ask the seller to pay for it.
Good luck on both options!

If you know a cuemaker, that's a super easy fix. Anyone with a precision metal lathe should be able to fix that for you in about 5 minutes.

Depending where you live, if you have a local guy, have him do it otherwise if you have to ship it, I would send it to predator. Be aware that they will probably want the whole cue to make sure the 2 pieces roll straight together.

Thanks Mike and everyone else! Mike, you have worked on some of my cues before and I appreciate you weighing in. It was a purchase from someone you are familiar with. Steve, and he has been fantastic. I am thrilled with his price and the stick has gone off to predator who has given me a great price on a refacing and installing a How tip. Expecting it back any day.

Nice.
Good luck with that How tip.
