Revo owners - any difference in stiffness/firmness between the diameters?

The 12.9 may be slightly stiffer. I only have shot with 12.4's which I really like. I am so glad I didn't go 11.8 I got a break cue that is conical like the 11.8 and the pro taper is far superior than conical imho.

Not a fan of conical either. I wouldn't really call the Revo 12.4 a pro-taper although it didn't bother me all that much. I've shot with a Jacoby Black, and while that was a true pro taper in my opinion and felt great, the deflection was way more than I expected. I've also shot with OB's cf shaft (not the wood with cf core, but the all cf one), which also had a long similar pro taper that felt great, but deflection was a little more than the Revo (much less than the Jacoby). Both of these had a firmer hit than the Revo though. I suppose a tip change on the Revo might do the trick to get a firmer hit.

Yea a lot of guys seem to like the kamuies or however you spell it. I like the factory one but that is just personal preference.

What if the taper changes for each diameter?

The math becomes more difficult.

For those of you who have owned different diameter Revos (11.8, 12.4, 12.9). Assuming same tip, weight, joint, length - did you notice if one was stiffer/firmer than the other?

I see their website says 12.9 is the stiffest, but I am having a hard time seeing that assuming everything is the same - tip, weight, joint, length, wall thickness, etc. If anything I’d ‘think’ the smaller the diameter the stiffer they would feel when hitting the cue ball.

To stay away from the technical talk and answer your true question. I fell the 12.9 was the deadest feeling but stiffest of the three. I don't feel any difference in whippiness or stiffness from the 12.4 and 11.8, I play with a custom butt with a (big pin) 3/8-10 and a revo 11.8 currently and have played with all three across the board on this same cue... I feel like I can see pinpoint tip placement with the 11.8 compared to the 12.4 therefore I can get a little more accurate action on the cue ball.
