Revo tip replacement

I have had my stock tip on (predator vantage soft) for a little over 6 months. I play about every other day. Its starting to come apart at the base and it mushrooms really quickly. Just curious what other revo owners have been using for aftermarket tips.

Thanks

I recently read through all of the past threads asking this question. My takeaway was that (a) kamui and (b) the stock victory soft are the two most popular choices.

The stock victory seems to be pretty divisive. Personally it's what I've always used and I love it; I've never had it mushroom or delaminate on me. But since it sounds like you're having a bad time w/it, check out kamui; black or brown, medium or soft.

I have been using precision tips on my carbon shafts. I have a hard on one and a medium on the other. I didn’t like the hit of the stock tip and kamui has been hit or miss for me lately.

Try the Sniper by Tiger products. I had the same mushrooming problem with the Predator victory medium tip. The sniper is much better, but it takes some time getting used to it because even though it comes as medium, it plays harder that the Predator medium.

The Tiger Onyx is even better IMO if you haven't tried it. I don't think I will ever use another tip.

This is on my shortlist. I got to shoot with a cuetec that had a sniper on it. Felt good.

Zan Medium has done well for me on the Revo. I wore out the last Kamui in 2 months. Victory tip Medium isn't bad, but the Zan is too currently, in my book.

I quit using soft tips because they all felt like mediums after a month of play

I currently use a Zan Hybrid Max on my Revo but the Zan plus S or M are nice as well though. The Hybrid Max will probably be the only tip I use going forward, they are outstanding. Thoroughbred MS and SiB yellow M or S are some of my other favorite tips I have used and had a good experience with on Revo's as well as many other shafts. I have used many others tips but these are the ones I find to require the smallest amount of maintenance and hold their hardness the longest. The Zan plus Soft tends to mushroom but then hold its shape after that first one is trimmed. Not a fan of Tiger Sniper tips at all and I have never experienced more miscuing than when I have used them, I would personally never recommend one.

My son and I have 12.9mm revos and use triangle tips. The tips are low maintenance and we can move the cue ball around the table with ease (powerful, stiff hit). My main player is a predator vantage/triangle set-up though lol.

Do you pressed the triangles before install?

The first few days after installing a triangle doesn't gets a stiff hit. Felt like a dull thud feedback.

Nah, I just slap them on. I break and play with them for a few days (maybe 4 to 6 hours), finish shaping them up, and then they're good to go. Last me over a year of daily playing usually. Very low maintenance.

Agreed on the triangle tip low maintenance, it doesn't mushroom as much as the stock victory soft. Just the break in period of the triangle tip takes a few days of playing to set the hardness in and also triangles are tricky sometimes we get a bad one from the box
