Reyes and Owens are on ESPN2 as I type this (3:07 CST) Who do you like? :D

Well, one thing both of those matches proved...Danny Basavich can play good pool with a 30 second clock going and he really DOESN'T HAVE TO dick around like he does when there isn't one.

And, an intense defensive battle can also be played great with the clock running as Owen and Reyes proved. It doesn't get much better than that!

So....for all you "let's get rid of the 30 second shot clock" fiends....chew on those two matches for a while and tell everyone how they could have been played better without it.

I watched the Owens-Reyes match and it was riddled with uncharacteristic mistakes.

Must have been the shot clock huh?

It was riddled with incredibly tough leaves that one guy or the other kept coming up with. When you're in jail...you're in jail and a number of those mistakes or forced errors were due to the opponents tough play. That's what great defense is about.

The pressure of tv and race to 7 were a little unnerving to say the least.
When Ownes made that 3rd foul, he literally went pale. His face is pretty red but when he commited that 3rd foul, even on tv you could tell he went pale.
I was there during that match and I saw my ugly mug in the background a couple of times.
I now have the dvd. :D

Good point Joey...something about being on TV always produces ass puckering syndrome even in the best of them, along with a race to 7.

When I was watching the show, I wondered how many CA boys from here on AZ might have been in attendance. I didn't know who to look for without any prior knowledge, and they showed plenty of the audience.
