I've seen several posts lately regarding cue builds, and so I have added a feature to my Cuemaker Listings where people who want a cue made can post it, in whatever way they can and then the Cuemakers who have time available can place bids on the build. This could prove to be quite helpful for the consumer as well as the Cuemakers who need work.
I would suggest the op describe the cue as well as possible, materials, points, veneers, inlays, wrap, etc,,,,,,,,and provide the best graphics he can for clarification, whether it be a hand sketch, cad model image, corell file image, etc,,,,,,,and request maybe a certain delivery time, target weight, how long the bidding would be open,,,,whatever criteria is important to him.
Once the initial RFQue is posted, I'm sure there would be a few initial posts to clarify things and then Cuemakers with interest in the bid would then just PM their bid, delivery date, warranty info, etc,,,,,,
I know this is different, but it could help some people, so it's worth trying.
If you have a cue design you want built, but not necessarily a preferred builder, then this may be for you. Equally, as a cuemaker with free time, this may get you over a hump. It's worth a try, and I hope it helps some of you.
