Rhino's new cue line.

There really isn't much to these shafts. You have the tube with some foam in the middle and some tweaking to get things right.

I see these tubes being sold for online for $60 and if you look at the specs they all are pretty much the same size. I suspect that there is one or two manufactures out there making these tubes and selling them to all the companies.

We probably are getting ripped off with these $400-500 shafts. When people stop buying $500 Revos and buying $200 Rhinos you will see the price drop. Or they come up with some new technology and a V2 comes out. Predator has had the Revo for many years it's probably due for a V2. People with CF shafts are not going to buy anything anymore if they can't get something better.
Jesus and how much do you think it costs to make that pair of shoes on your feet or shirt on your back or the food you had at a restaurant or just about anything you own in comparison to what you paid. You’re not being ripped off. theres more to it then just the initial cost of product and A company has to make a profit.

This is one of the things I like better about golf. No one wines about prices. If you want to buy a cheap $100 driver buy it.. if you want to buy a $600 Taylor made driver.. buy it. They both can exist for different people.

Also I would expect a v2 at some point as well. Predator reminds me of golf club companies and what they do to keep market share. You have to constantly have new products. I believe it was an interview with The callaway ceo that I watched that said if they didn’t come out with new clubs every year they would lose close to 60% of their market share. Thats just how people are. If they are buying new clubs this years new club must be better then last years club right ? Lol

I am not discounting that someone would be willing to eat "inspired meat".
I do not happen to be one of them.
I haven’t tried anything of that plant based fake meat. I’m not a vegetarian so cut that cow up and get it in my belly 😂

I'm going to get a shaft but I was hoping to find a decent looking wood butt but can't find one that's not a sneaky pete locally.
So when I saw this I thought maybe just buy the whole cue. The 3/8-8 joint has me wondering what other butt this would fit if I ever find one. Anyone know? I also wondered about the design and how it was applied and how durable it was, so I asked them and this is their response. "
Our Retrô cue butt is a composite material with exclusive premium printing technology.
As for our finished paint, it depends on many objective factors of the user and how the player preserves the cue.
Our current and previous cues products still receive a lot of good feedback about the paint finish and have a certain durability that makes customers satisfied." Anyone have one of their butts and have issues with the finish?

3/8-8 is a radial joint. They recently change the names of their Uniloc and Radial joints, I assume because of some kind of trademark thing.

I doubt you'll have to wait long, they'd be crazy not to come out with one. I can't believe they haven't already.
Someone posted a link on the forum with a test they were doing on their facebook page. It was an all cf 3 piece. I'd like to get one, just for the longer section as it comes in handy sometimes.

Can't say I blame you. Seems like all these imported cues have decals or airbrushed deets. I'm not sure if Rhino uses decals or screens those designs directly onto the butt. J Flowers is a good example a decal butt cue.
Seems like many of the production line cues are using 'Composite' wood for butts. Perhaps a cuemaker could chime in with what woods those might be, as I'm curious.

by screens you mean they're dipped? is there any difference in quality of the fake wood?

Looks like it wasn’t mentioned, so I’ll point out the CF shafts were finally on sale again yesterday. 179 plus another 5% off for signing up online for the first time. I bought a shaft and glove for 211 after tax and shipping (shipping approximately 23).

Printed. They have a process that prints the entire butt w whatever wood grain you prefer, then wrapped or not, depending on the order.

gotcha. the grain print looks identical on all versions of each wood type.

at least the snakewood won't crack

All this talk about the finishing, and I don't know what predator cue P3 finishes are...are they digitally printed ? Decals ? What

Yes, I see they use 30 pieces of wood laminated together , but what do they use for the color and finishing ?
most builders aren't going to release that info. most mid-low end asian stuff is all decals. screen printing and dipping have become common in last few years too. no clue how pred paints/finishes their cues.
