RHN : Dick Neighbors

If you gonna have Plain Janes, you gotta have some nice figured woods in it. Otherwise, it's pointless. I'm excited to come home and test this baby out. :)

We get into the plain jane / merrywidow debate...a merrywidow will always be pointless, however to me a plain jane can be a merrywidow, but also a pointed cue without any inlays, like a classic gus 4 points, 4 veneers and buttsleeve with no inlays, that to me is a plain jane. the top cue in the picture below



Actually...the most important thing for a cue is that it plays lights out, I dont care what the wood is if it hits like a sponge!

Not to hijack this thread, but from my understanding Merry Widow = Plane Jane.

There is nothing plane about 4 points with 4 veneers.... especially if there is a Szamboti behind it :eek:
Even if you make a plain wrapless 4 point cues with no veneers than it'll still won't be a Plain Jain, it'll be a Sneaky Pete....
