So I just picked up this Benson Hoppe style cue. BEM forearm, titleist colored veneers, and rosewood or maybe cocobolo points. The finish is almost perfect with only a couple nicks in the varnish on the butt cap. It also rolls completely straight. It came with 3 shafts. Two are 32" and about 12mm. The other is 29" and about 13mm. The two long ones have a taper roll with tip and joint never leaving the table, the shorter one rolls pretty much as straight as possible for being a used cue. I was wondering if any of you knew how much this thing is worth and how I could get a hold of Mr Benson. From what I read he lives an hour or two from where I live now. Thanks ahead of time. Btw I believe the Hoppe ring is phenolic.

I had read he quit making cues because he was sick, today I had carlled the local billiard supply and found out that he is no longer with us. I'm not sure of the details but that's what i was told. And thanks for the compliment, plain Hoppe style cues are my favorite.
