I'm going to look at a Richard Black cue tomorrow. Wondering if any one might know what it might be worth. It is a limited addition cue 5 of 25 i think he said . He also has some paper work on the cue.I think he might have said it was a 25th anniversary model. thanks for any help

black cue

His cues have been pretty soft on the market as of late it depends on the design and intricacy of the work in the cue but his cues usually run $800 and up I have owned a couple and shoot with one now I love the way it hits. Some pics of the cue would really be helpful if you have access to a copy of the blue book that is a good starting point but it is really what you want to pay for it.

Here it is....

Got this off of Richard's site. The cue is a beautiful ebony cue with floating ivory points and silver inlay work all over.

The Blue Book states the value of the 30th Aniv. cue to be $5500 in 98% condition. The 25th Aniv. cue looks similar to a $5000 cue I owned this year. I would say the retail value is around $5000, but the soft market for Richard's cues are producing some absolute steals right now. This is the time to buy his work. I think you should be able to pick it up for $2000 to $2500. Maybe $3000 tops. If that is the case, see if the guy has two and I will take the other one!

You can also call or e-mail Richard directly. He is quite friendly and will know the approximate retail value and you can try to discount from there.

Hope that helps.

Mrw1949:

What is your bottom line price for the cue including shipping? It is a great stick and someone on AZ will surely want it!
