On the fine living channel theres a show called The Genuine Article and its about jigsaws and high end cues. it's on right now EST. I think Tony Roboles is shooting the shots.

Way to go Satman

I saw this earlier in the week. I was disappointed in the show. It did more on puzzles than on Richard. Misinformation was rampid through out the piece. "Hard Rock Maple are the best cues" uh ok... But it was nice seeing Richard and his shop on TV. I wish they would've focused more on him and showed more of his cues. Some other misinformation, I have a Richard Black on order (should be done this month), and he never asked me my "hand size" my height or whatever other BS they talked about.

Just my opinion.

I never watched the show. I think hand size is important to some. I've heard several times of a cue being to small for a person with large hands.

Many older cues were of a larger butt diameter, not much it may only be .015 to .020 thousands but you can feel the difference. To small and there harder to hold on to, it makes me want to grip the butt tighter which is a no no.

If I ever get another cue made it will be slightly larger and I don't have big hands. That is compared to my Schon.

Rodd,

I didn't say hand size was not important. The show said that RB will ask your hand size, your height, your stroke type, how many hours a day you play etc. He does not. I was directing my comments to folks who saw the show. Sorry you mistook my post.

The show wasn't very factual. It sais you could get a decent custom cue for 8500! It was definatley targeting people who have it all and know nothing. But it was nice to see some of Richards work. I wish I hadn't had to watch that goofy host miscue with that Black.

I don't suppose anyone was able to get this show on tape? It doesn't look like it will be repeated.

Thanx.
