Hey everybody, I just got a disc with some exhibit pics from The Art Museum of Southeast Texas. Richard Black is putting on a one man show and there are some great cues on display. The grouping will eventually be moved to the ICCS show in mid October. Enjoy the pics!

The cue on the far right was available through Cornerstone at the VF show. Super nice details.

Thanks for posting the pictures.:)

Are there any more? That can't be the whole display?

One of my Blacks is on loan for this show. The museum representative was kind enough to send some newspaper clippings and quite a few pics. Here are three more. Enjoy.

richard black is THE most adventurous cuemaker i know, and it is reflected in what is probably a strong interest in ALL things artistic. it's quite obvious he draws from other creative arts while most cuemakers seem satisfied in copying each other. he has to be commended for taking chances others would shy away from, and for remaining faithful to his sense of aesthetic.

he is surely a man who carves his own path.

At the ICCS in Las Vegas last November, Bill Stroud presented Richard with a special award - for exactly the reasons you mentioned. Bill was impressed with Richard's work in the 3rd dimension, carving and what have you.

Those cases are awesome. I have often wondered why cue makers don't tie in presentation-grade cases to their art cues. I guess some do.
