Richard Crainum,oops,I mean Danny D

I agree Cactus Ed, I don't think they should ban anyone either. Free speach it one of our rights. Here we have an ignore list if we wish to use it. That is an option we don't have elsewheres. ( That probably isn't a word, but it works). This is a form of entertainment you know. I truly appriciate the opportunity to read what others think about our sport, even DD, FL, and any other nut out there. Thanks to all.

Don, you and Cactus Ed both have good points. [free speach].

However, we [all of us] don't own this site.

This being the case, the ownes have the last say. I am in full agreement with them, it's choice and there site not ours.

If one does not agree with the owners opinions, bye, bye.

....I guess I'm the only nut here who thinks that anybody should post and free speech should prevail. There is an ignore option here, is there not?....

The trouble, Ed, (and I speak as the moderator of a pretty large forum here) is that abrasive personalities like his aren't suffered to exist in peace by the rest of the membership. Once one reaches a certain level of reputation, one attracts a cloud of mosquito-like pests who swarm even the content-rich posts, just to be argumentative. IMO the self-appointed armchair mods and vigilantes who torment personalities like DD et. al. are more of a problem than the poster himself, because by their actions they tend to lend a legitimacy to the practice of dogpiling a person they don't like.

First-Amendment issues aside, this isn't conducive to the smooth operation of an online community. Infighting adds to bandwidth usage (and bandwidth isn't free) without contributing anything of substance to the community. We're supposed to be getting along here. Obviously I'm not naive enough to think that any respectable online community will be completely free of conflict, but there's a certain level of behavior which must be enforced for a forum to remain a desireable destination.

I've had to have a few people banned in the last few years simply because the attention their postings attracted was detrimental to the community at large. I wouldn't be surprised if such was the case here.

Blud, you and SuperDave both have made a good point. All things considered, I must agree. I stand corrected. If only there was a way to prevent them from changing their handle and comming right back on board. Go figure!
Best Regards, Don P.

This warms the cockles of me heart. Group hug!

god really makes me laugh.

When infighting starts, I, as a Filipino, just sit back and get really culturaly shocked in between laughing out loud. We speak the same language - english and pool - so I guess that makes me feel at home enough.

im just a little confused here guys...so danny d. is richard cranium? which is also fast larry? which is also larry guninger?
or richard cranium is not larry guninger really...

I think what is being said is, FL, DannyD, 9ball Road Pro, Larry Gruninger, Plato and God are ALL "Richard Cranium(s)". I may have this all wrong though and misread what is being said.

IMO, there's no need to kick anyone off of this forum. Why? Because they will just make up another name and come back on here and bash people again. If they just keep using the original name, we'll know who they are and be able to "ignore" them if we choose to. Most of the posts from "Richard Cranium(s)" are very comical and do add a little excitement to the forum. But, JMO!

Don,

I was really impressed with the way you responded to Mathew and Super Dave! Way to go Dude! What are you into to help you achieve self-actualization? Whatever it is, keep it up!

Zim,

I agree with most of what you said but I don't think God is part of the FL string of lunies. His posts are too short and controlled.

Super Dave,

I totally agree with you're post about free speech on this forum. Unfortunately, like Zim said, anyone can come up with a new alter ego like FL and re-join over and over.

Danny D,

There was this poster we had here named Fast Larry. He was the only person posting that would post 6 or more posts in a row. I've never seen anyone else do that. That's quite a coincidence isn't it? Should I say "Welcome back Larry" or is this just a freak coincidence?

Is this one on a static IP, or not? Banning an entire subnet is a pretty extreme move, but it wouldn't be the first time a respectable site has had to resort to such. What I wouldn't give for admin access here, just to see who's who. :)

what's the need for multiple aliases btw? guys, come on, we all look like kids here fighting over who's the top dog here. imo, people using multiple aliases are nothing but lame asses who is a liar to himself. its just plain bad that some pool players are like these....:(
i feel sorry for those using multiple aliases.
