The cue maker is Richard Glenn from upstate New York. He has only built about a very limited amount of cues and now has came down ill. This cue was inspected by a friend of mine and he was, to put it lightly blown away. He said this cue was built semi splice and that there was only a hand full of cuemakers that could do this kind of work this good. Everyhing white in this cue is ivory. From ferrules to the butt cap. The nose is macasner ebony with 6 razor sharp (no cnc) ivory points. The rings are real Silver with macasner ebony and ivory. Not cheap phenolic. The wrap is white with very light green spec and double pressed and smooth. Joint protectors are macasner ebony with ivory dots on the top. The diamond inlays are all dead nuts evenly spaced and all sementricly perfect. There is not one thing out of place. 1 shaft has an brass insert and they other has a ivory insert in the shaft. The cue is signed in between the points very small in gold (Gleen 05). It looks very tasteful. The cue hits wonderful. The balance is perfect,19.2oz,12.9mm,12.8mm. No playing time. Truley fuc#ing awesome. Let me know what you think. I have a few offers for the cue but would like to make a trade with it possibly. I really do not have a set figure in mind. . Happy Thanksgiving! Thanx so much Aaron 815-243-1101

What in the world is "semi splice"? Now that's a new one. Your 'friend' has got to be pulling your leg. The guy cut the inlays into the prong with a pantograph or cnc milling machine just like any (revise...every) other cuemaker on earth would a floating point or inlay. Flat bottom pocket and inlay.

The work does look pretty nice in that he looks to have sharpened up the edges of the inlays real well.

You sure this cue wasn't made in the Phillipines? It kind of reminds me of some work I've seen by Q-Perfect (Ronnie Powell).

Ah.....rats.....more wasted ivory in a no-name cue.

I think what he meant was Milled. That was his way of saying it. I am positive it's not foreign. However I must agree, it looks that way. It's signed Glenn 05 and I have found some very limited back ground on him but enough. Thanx Aaron P.S. I have sold you guys a few cues.:D

can you give us some background on this cuemaker?

Info

Hi' The only info I have on this cuemaker is this. He lives in upstate New York. He made a few cues and became ill. I got it from a guy I know on the west coast. He is on AZ billiards. That is what he told me. Then a friend of mine was going through the cuemakers list and he talked to one that knew of him. The way this cue maker heard of him was a guy came to him wanting him to build a cue for him. The customer owned currently a Richard Glenn and he was to ill to build him another one. This is what the cue maker said that the guy told him. Otherwise he would have another cue built for him by Richard. So the storie matched up with what I was told from who I got the cue from. That is pretty much all I know. I have owned very high end cues and deal in them all the time and I can tell you, this cue is a very fine cue. Thanx Aaron 815-243-1101:D

"before he became ill". like is he ill to the point of incapacitation?

Richard Glenn

I guess. I'm not really sure. All I know is he can't build cues. He did not build that many anyway but did very good work. I do have photos of his signature if intrested. Thanx Aaron 815-243-1101:D
