Actually - with Instroke I had two people send me stories of taking spills with their Instroke cases. One was a bike messenger in NYC who said that he landed on his back on top of the case after being hit by a taxi. He credited the case with saving his life. The case had minor scratches and the cues were safe.
Another person was riding a scooter in Hawaii when she crashed and the case went flying across the highway. She and the case survived with scratches and bruises and no damage to the cues.
One person flipped his car and the case flew out and the car landed on it and slid with the case trapped under it. The case was mangled but still functional. The cues and the driver survived.
- Side note for all you bike riders -
What would be your PERFECT setup for carrying a cue case when you ride.
I can make a special bag to hold your case out of heavy gauge nylon that can strap on like a backpack. I can make it with saddle bag type straps. I can make it out of leather. AND I can make them in small runs or custom as needed. Tell me what design works best and I can make it for you.
If you really want this then I will make it. And you all can design it and I will build it to your specifications. You all decide together what it should be.
