Something different.

When I used to spend time in Ottawa CA. 2003-2005 there was a table like that in a small bar close to my usual hotel. The table was right up front near the windows and you could easily see it when walking past. I don't think I ever did find time to play on it but it made me think.
I have never seen a table like it anywhere else.

I used to play at the Orange Monkey in Ottawa when in town.

I saw a table like this some years ago at a small country bar in Austin, TX. It was the first and last time I ever went to the bar, so not sure if the bar still exists or if the table does or not. I think we played a game on it for novelty sake and it was pretty neat.

I played on a barbox as described up in Iowa 15 years or so ago in a small joint up there . I think I played the owner about an hour or so and he was kinda surprised that I took to it rather qwikly, as I remember there was alot of bankin goin on with that table . It was totally different but a blast to play on. Reckon it is the same table ??? Thanx

diff right angle- cool tables

In Wis. 15 yrs. ago they had right angle tables in thr shape of an (L) with 2 tables ,this looks better. mark

There was one in a bar in Lawrence, KS 8 or 10 years back. I tried to buy it, but couldnt get ahold of the owner ... never went back. Definitely different to play on ...... Weird angles and difficult depth perception on some shots down the rail across the center.

I forget the name of the place but it was in Florida, Siesta Key south of Sarasota. Place was opened late. Lots of fun. :grin-square:

What a cool table!

Shayla- I'm from Austin, too. I've been shooting pool in this town for over ten years and have never heard of said table. Do you remember what bar it was? I'd love to check it out and hopefully play on it.

For the Detroit folks, I know that Pinball Petes in E. Lansing Michigan had an L shaped tbale for a number of years and I would assume its still there if you had an interest in playing something closer to home.

I saw one of those once. It was at a strip club named Lollipops in Eugene Oregon about 15 years ago. I never did find the time to play on it ;)

There's one in Denver

Wynkoop Billiards, where Melissa Little is the pro, has a right-angle table right up front. I played it only once, but it was a lot of fun and it presented lots of new problems to consider.

For some reason it reminded me of multi-level chess. Another problem is figuring out what kind of game is suitable for that table. Or maybe someone's invented it already.
