Righty / Lefty

Field lefty bat right. Jump shot left..hook shot right. Block shots left arm. Write righty. Kick a ball right. Tennis/ping pong left. Use a drill right. Punch better with left. Pistol right. Rifle left. Use right hand to present middle finger. Can pick nose with either hand...I'm slightly fk'd up. And pool right handed

I could only water ski with my left foot forward on the single ski. I tried it the other way and ended up drinking a lot of water. 🤷‍♂️
My favorite pool playing Left handed memory was after I made an extreme cut shot on the 8 ball, at the handshake my opponent said incredulously, " you shot that left handed!" I had to look down to the cue in my hand to confirm and replied, "I guess I did". With a shrug.

Popular theory said:
Left-brain thinking
Associated with logic, language, and critical thinking
Involves analyzing and calculating
Involves recognizing words, letters, and numbers
Right-brain thinking
Associated with creativity, emotion, and imagination
Involves perceiving and understanding space
Involves recognizing faces, places, and objects
Along with the theory of left brain controlling right hand, this fits my experience. With my left vs right handed play. The article this quote came from also says this.
same article said:
"Left-brain" or "right-brain" thinking styles is based on the popular notion that each hemisphere of the brain controls distinct functions. However, research has shown that the two sides of the brain work together, and that the notion of left- versus right-brain dominance is not supported by scientific evidence.
Well it sure fits my experience. 🤷‍♂️
Then the articles conclusion said:
Conclusion
There is no such thing as a "true" left-brain or right-brain thinker. Instead, you can play to your strengths and continue to broaden your mental horizons.
Well in That case My conclusion is that playing with both hands can strengthen the left right hemisphere cooperation giving a 2 to 1 advantage when playing someone that only shoots with the favorite hand.
My final conclusion: Practice with both hands can help balance the creative and analytical. As long as it's done in private no one will make fun of the weaker hand. My experience with team play is that sometimes the weakest player can save the day. And oh boy isn't it fun when they finally hit a home run.
Juggling is a favorite way to promote team play with my hands.

Just incase you didn't see sarcasm....

It is possible to generate new neurons and dendrites in the brain by undertaking tasks similar to those mentioned. Our brains have plasticity. Moldable and ever changing.
