Ring game format

I want to host a ring game similar to the one played at DCC in years past. If anyone knows the format or a similar format I would appreciate that info. This will be for a group of strong amateur players buy in around $75 and a 5 to 6 hour time limit with 8 - 12 participants. Suggestions are welcome also.

This is what I was thinking

$75 buy in

Round 1 $5 ante for 4 racks

Round 2 $10 ante for 4 racks

Round 3 $20 ante for 4 racks

Round 4 $30 ante for 4 racks

Round 5 $40 ante for 4 racks

Round 6 $50 ante for 4 racks

Round 7 $75 ante for 4 racks

Round 8 $100 ante for 4 racks

Round 9 (if needed) $200 ante until winner
