Did you catch Earl the Pearl during Fridays ring game meal break? He was practicing a shot he missed, frozen to the long rail, just on the targets side of the side pocket. I think he missed it 7 out of eight times. Anyway, just before Saturdays ring game Parica set up and missedthe same shot five times in a row. A few minutes later Parica set it up for Efren and he nailed it, pure, on the first try. After seeing Efren hit it Parica nailed it as well. Kinda Cool.

It was the table that made this shot tough. WEI doesn't do it justice, you had to see these guys missing it, and then Efren nailing it like it was no big deal. Mataya said the pockets were 4", and Daulton left hangersso deep in the pocket in his bank pool match that they seemed to be floating in mid air they were so deep.

Archer made almost the same shot on the two ball in the game that clinched his ring game victory. He must not have been watching those guys missing that shot over and over or that would have f*&^ed with his mind. The coolest thing about this BCN broad cast for me is that they keep the cameras rolling through the breaks and between matches. I really enjoyed watching those guys practice, and I felt like I was there when MC Scott smith was announcing in the background as Alex practiced that they were trying to get another ring game going, and Alex was screaming " I'm in, I'm in."

I don't think they are broadcasting now. The ring game ended about 15 minutes ago, great stuff.. I think they are starting up again around noon tommorrow.

Archer won, Parica second. Efren, Souquet and Schmidt got screwed by the rolls. They never had a shot. This format was the most exciting pool I've ever watched. No safeties, just great shotmaking. Beats the hell out of ESPN!
