that means hed rather not
and how many would want to take the trouble to fight and not ruin a 500 dollar shaft and all the work that goes into making a ring, for just a single ring
the time/cost would be so high to the buyer when they already know the buyer wants it done for under 100 bucks
I already have the ring and I haven't even told him what I wanted yet lol

This is why I had my cue built with double rings at the joint 
I knew I would want to pair it with different shafts so any black collar shaft is a fit.

A bit of a lip does not bother me at all, it does nothing to how the shaft fits or the hit, and you would never know unless checked.
It would bug me, hence the rings on my Cynergy to match.
