Ring work - have a look at this

Last pic

The blue thing is a "wrench" or what you call it - to keep pressure on the ring
so it is glued tight to the tenon and tenon collar. I did not want to face to much
off the ring - so the tenon holding the ring was a hair longer than the ring.
In this way I could face of minimal of the ring and make it even.
However -thinking about it in a retrospect - if the tenon was a fraction shorter
I could have faced of the ring a "hair" and skipped the arrangement.

Anyway, shaft is glued up and would stay like that until tomorrow where a
new ferrule would be made.

Since this was my first time doing this, feel free to "chop me down" and feed
back what you feel. I'm learning and learning from all of you, so all kinds of feedback
is highly appreciated.

No need to chop anyone down, it looks like you done good!

Was really not sure if I should have removed everything or not.
I saw the "spikes" which is used to make the points in the dices coming through
and I thought it did not hurt to leave that thin "skin" of wood inside.

Would have a look at the glued up shaft tonight and see how it turned out
and I can post a pic of the glued up end when it's done.

Currently scratching my head on some CNC hardware now :scratchhead:
