ring work on shafts! ...

I have a 98 Gilbert and I broke the shaft. I'm looking at buying 2 used Gilbert shafts and I'd like to get the ring work matched. I was wondering how easy the process is and if anyone is interested in doing it. My local cue maker wants alot more than I "think" is fair. He says he'd have to order the purple heart and it'd end up costing too much. Thanks for any help. Joel

And yes, I know, my cue needs refinished!!

Why not use the ring work from the old shaft and transfer it to the new shaft or call Andy and order a new shaft with that ringwork? Those are your best options.

Agreed... Box that cue up and send it to Andy. He'll match up the diameters between the shafts and the butt, and you can get it refinished as well...it'll be like a new cue!!!
