RIP CHANG JUNG LIN

JL Chang had a beautiful stroke and seemed more into the action scene than the tournament scene. In those respects, he was the "Asian Buddy Hall."

I think he absolutely was a fair comparison to Buddy Hall. Two consistent players that never had to shoot a hard shot because their fundamentals were so solid, they never had to, and they could still make any shot period. Neither had a flashy game (I personally think they did, but it was subtle) but could hit a gear that wowed you when they did. Chang Jung Lin was my favorite player because he represented an attitude that didn't care about attention. He was an elite player that put the balls in and let the results speak for themself. 40 is young in the life of a pool player (and in general), it's a huge loss for our community.

一路走好 roughly translates to "there is one road, travel it well". I think he did that and it was cut short, unfortunately. All we have left is racks like this final one he had to close out the 2018 International Open:

Never said a thing until he knew it was a sure thing. Even though he played like one, he wasn't a robot. This one hit me hard. Life is full of bad rolls, appreciate the good ones you get while you're still around to get them.

Is this Ameer Ali playing in the us open and the world ´s? Would be good to see him either removed from that list or prove he deserves to be there

I likened him to Ralf Souquet. Similar bullet proof vibe.
A much closer comparison, in my opinion...

To me, his stroke was much more compact than Buddy's but not as smooth. His square stance, to me, looked a bit more unnatural than Buddy's whose form at the table looked like he was born with a cue in his hand. They now are matching up in heaven...may they rest rest in pool...

Gotta ask; no pics/details etc... extraordinary life, extraordinary life...
RIP again.

don't know what you mean with pics/details. he died during the ongoing predator indonesia tournament, roommate and player ryan hsu found him in the hotel room. presumably a stroke. he was from a rural town in south western taiwan, was married, had children. the on table details you probably know, world champion, feared money player..
