I used up my credit line on paypal & started sending
money orders & cashiers checks rather than give
paypal my acct no. Got by with it until last time.
Sent a $425 cashiers check to some guy in Texas.
Had 1 negative feedback from a seller but everything
else was positive. No cues, no replies. He did tell me
on phone last Monday he had sent out cue. What are
my options? I'm going to call him tonight again & then
post his name on here tomorrow if I don't like what he
says. Lot of money for me to get beat out of.

How long ago did he send the cue? I don't believe a week is enough time given the recent activities in the south. (as in hurricanes). US mail, UPS, and Fed Ex, have all been slower than normal. Do you have a tracking number?

I think things are a little crazy in Texas right now, what with the hurricane and all.

Ditto....always request the tracking information. Seems a little premature to start another "ripped off" thread when it could be something as simple as a delay in the shipment.

I have been wait a little over 3 weeks for a Catalog, and Price list from Louisana. Could have been lost in a Big Wind, or Big Down Pour.... ;)

Guys, I hope you are right. I have no tracking number.
I sent out the money over 3 weeks ago & he won't
answer my emails. He seemed shocked when I called
him on the phone. I inadvertantly won the bid on one
of those Deangelo cues in Calif. a week later & I've
already received that cue.

I might as well tell you a story about a 'players' hustler that I won on Ebay.

I think it was like a $20 dollar winning bid, plus $10 shipping (cheap cue, but not a real bargain). I pay the guy through paypal, and a few weeks go by after he said it was shipped via USPS. So I am thinkin that I am being ripped off, so we email each other back and forth, being very cordial. Another week goes by, and now I am getting upset. (I also read paypals policy of a 30 day limit on claims). (It's still only 30 bucks, but it not a huge deal)

He still says he sent it, sends me another cue (via USPS), and tells me to keep both for my inconvience, if they both show up. I receive the 2nd cue within a week. A day later, I get a notice from USPS that I have a package that was attempted to be delivered several times, and was gonna go back to sender, if I didn't come pick it up. That was the first and only notice I ever got from the post office.

So to make a long story short, I got 2 cues for the price of one.

Thanks for the reply. If you got upset over $30, you can
imagine how I feel about $425. I'm a poor West Virginia
boy. I've been thinking bad thoughts.

But being the nice guy that you are you will send back the second cue since it was really your own fault that you were not home when USPS tried to deliver the first cue. Right? But then, why didn't you just let the Post Office return the first cue after you received the second cue? Have you spoken to your mail carrier as to why he couldn't deliver the first package "several" times? Unless you have to sign for the package they just leave it on your doorstep.

I have sent out many, many, many packages via USPS and have had extremely good service. Only one package was returned because they couldn't deliver it and I had the receiver contact his Post Office to verify his address and then resent it and it was received okay.

Jake,
The seller told me to keep the 2nd cue. I would have sent it back if he wanted it.

No, I didn't talk to my mail carrier, I seem to have a different one every few weeks.

Upon the seller's advice, I went to the post office (directly across the street from me), gave them my address, and they had no package for me. Two days later I get the final notice in the mail.

When I went to get the cue at the post office, they informed me that I should have gotten at least > 3 < notices (meaning a paper note in my mailbox) indicating an attempted delivery. I only got the one saying 'final attempt'.

I like USPS, this was just a glitch, an isolated incident.

This thread was about the Hondo's cue he was waiting for, not whether I am a thief or not. I was just trying to give him an encouraging/humorous story.

BTW I am a nice guy :D I donated that cue to an underprivileged kid, in a BCA youth league.

Hondo, I sent a cue from Calif to Michigan USPS Priority mail, certified and it took 7 days. This was not during any storms. Best, probably to put $ in PayPal acct rather than send MO's etc.

You should have paid him for the second cue or returned it. He was very honest with you and not at fault in the least. There was no reason he should have to take the worst of it or you brag how you got two for the price of one. The post office gives you three notices before returning the item, it is not his fault you can't find your mail. I suppose you sold the extra cue and made a profit off the deal. I can't believe you even told that story, you don't see how it makes you look? Sorry just my opinion.

As well as paid for it? Don't feel so benevolent, It was not a donation since you never paid for it in the first place. As far as him telling you to keep both, he had little choice he only has your word that it never arrived, too bad you were not as fair with him. There is still time by the way, get out the check book and do the right thing. People are very good at rationalizing to meet their own needs.

The seller knows I received both cues, I told him so, he and told me to keep them.

Whatever Macguy.

I gave it away, not donate. Sound better to you? Like I care what you think.

Don't care what I think, don't respond. I will still give my opinion.

Well, I talked to them on phone and cue was NOT
sent but supposedly has been sent now. I hope so.
This will restore my faith in my fellow man.

You guys were right;i jumped the gun with this post.
No email response had me very antsy but cues arrived
