This question might seem pretty basic, but I have a cue that has some fairly severe popping in the butterfly splice and rings. Popping in way that I guess you could say the finish has cracked/split because of it. I don't really want to spend the cash to get it fixed so I'm just curious if there are any risks to not having it refinished. Do I have to worry about excess moisture getting into the cue a warping? Will the splice or rings eventually pop off completely? Anything else a possibility? Thanks for any feed back.
