Who does everyone like in the Tony Robles Vs Tyler Edey match? I think Edey is a good underdog. He has beaten Strickland and Salvas in this tournament.

Edey is one hell of a player and he seems to relish the underdog role, I'd put my money on him.

I agree Sniper. I thought I could get a Canadian to respond...

I've heard nothing but good things about Tyler Edey. He obviously has the playing pedigree to give him a very realistic shot at beating Tony Robles.

In another thread, our esteemed forum colleague, Celtic, posted the following shortly after Tyler beat Strickland.

Celtic said:
Tyler Edey is not well known, he shoots REALLY well though. I am not overly surprised he beat Earl, he was due after losing to him by a similar score in Calgary at the big Great White tourney. He breaks great and has a very solid game, can string a ton of racks together and has awesome nerves for the cash or in tournies. Good to see him doing well. Surprised he is the only one there from Calgary, would have thought with him there that Edwin Montal and/or Nick Kruger might have went down as well.

Perhaps this US Open will prove to be Tyler's coming out party. He's played well, beating two stars of the game, and a win over Tony Robles would further validate that he's arrived as aforce in top level pro pool. Still, as a New Yorker, my heart says it's gotta be Tony Robles in this one. Should be real close, but I think Tony ekes out a win here.
