Rocky Antenucci Passes Away

The pool world really lost a good man this week. Rocky Antenucci lost his three year battle with cancer. Three years ago, he was given six months to live and he said he would beat cancer and he lived everyday as if he would. Rocky was 78 and still was playing pretty good pool. I had the pleasure of knowing Rocky pretty well and can honestly say that he was a true gentleman. He told some pretty good stories about what pool was like in the 50's and later as well.

When I had The Cue Ball Biliards in Bakersfield in the 70's, I traveled up to Fresno to play Rocky. He was a gentleman to gamble with and became a friend for life after we played. Rocky had two magic ingredients, HEART and SOUL! A nicer man you could never meet.
