I have been watching this match since yesterday. The commentary with Aaron and Gabe were hilarious. I don't know about being professional but it was definitely entertaining.

I enjoyed their commentary as well. I did find it funny that they were making fun of Daryl Peach's nickname "Dazzler" in one of his matches when he made it further than either of them in both tournaments.

Thanks for the kind words. I know a lot of people didn't like are way of commentating, but Gabe and I had a blast and had a good time talking about it with fellow players. I had some drinks and laughs with Rodney over what we were saying about him and I may have been more professional when I commetated with Nick Varner, but I liked working with Gabe the best. Aaron

If I couldn't make fun of people that did better than me in the tournament, than I think, Bernie "Where's my Check" Friend would be the only person I could poke fun at.

I had told Gabe about 'rizzle schnizzle' (or something like that) thread on here with all the critiques about his infamous commentating with you. I'm sure you both have heard all of the mixed opinions by now.

i love Gabe and Aaron's commentating... it's very funny. Makes the game more fun to watch. You see, pool can be a bit like chess sometimes... that's when you feel sleepy... but Aaron and Gabe was able to make those times more interesting... could be over the top for some people... but for me, it's really entertaining.... sure they can polish and improve.... but they are good combination... looking forward to more commentating in the future...

Did you get any feedback from the IPT, eg Deno? I hope you get to do more commentary with the younger guns like Gabe. I know I enjoyed it. You tried to loosen up Nick V. but he didn't want to go there.
Its easy to offend a few people, and you usually hear from those ones before you hear from the people who took it for what it was, harmless and just poking fun.

I liked the commentary. I think a small handull did not but thats expected.

I liked all the commentary by everybody so my vote must be neglible Thorston seemed a bit quiet/shy at first... Allison has a great personality. I bet she is fun to hang out with. Too bad she is on the other team lol Aaron and Gabe did good. Their style was just like the talk show they had/have. I enjoyed it. Much better than Mitch, Eva, Dawn or Allen

Actually I was really amazed that all of the commentators seemed very comfortable and not nervous at all. Just two knowledgeable people talking about the sport they love.

Hi Gabesmon,

I had the privilege of rooming with your son in Reno and I can say you sure have raised a great kid. It's nice rooming with people that you can trust and not worry about your valuables with. Gabe is so nice, and Corey and I have a blast with him no matter what we're doing. He was also very helpfull with me on learning from my experiences in the tournament so I don't make the same mistakes twice since this is my first year as a pro.

Gabe and I were informend about what people were saying about us after the Daryl Peach and Ralph match. We were told that we would have to stop saying some of the things we said in the first match but basically they let us do it our way. Gabe and I did the best we could at being informative about the match but at the same time talking as if we would if we were back in the hotel room watching it with our friends(other players). The camera men, the editing people and the producer all came up and told us how much they enjoyed our commentating and how much we made then laugh. Gabe and I realized our style is not for everyone, but that was just us, being ourselves and we had a lot of fun.

Nice to hear from you and I hope one day I get the chance to meet you. Aaron

Thank you. They liked what we did but asked us from using some of the words we did in the Ralph/Peach match. They didn't have a problem with our style, they and enjoyed the change of pace. I think they are going to let us do some more at the next tounament but people like you writing in sure does help us get another chance.

You were right about Nick, but I still had a good time with him. I've been good friends with Nick for years and I think he is the ultimate professional.
