Oh hell, you ain't a real pool player if you have never been bared out of a joint. I have been bared out of three, but all later relented and let me back in, that is what usually occurs. I was out of one for two years. I have been carried out of the Golden Nugget Casino twice in Vegas and deposited on the sidewalk out front, now I am back in. They felt I was having too much fun. I must be mellowing, because I have not been thrown out of a pool hall bar or Casino since 1993.
I am now bared off CCB for life I am told, it goes with the territory. bared for life, what kind of bull S*** it that. People who hold on to grudges like that are not my kind of people. If a guy screws up in a pool hall and it's not something criminal or serious like a knife fight or shooting, after a cool off period, if he comes back to apologize and ask for a return I think most owners will allow him back in. If he's a serious drunk or trouble maker then they were probably right kicking him out and letting him be somebody else's new problem now. It is their joint, they can do what they want to do. There are two sides to these stories, and we only here the poor abused players version, we don't get to hear the owners side of it. Yes there are a lot of owners who are total A holes, but plenty of players fit that same MO.
When you hear two sides of a conflict, I usually take the guy on the left and pull his story 50% from the left to the middle, I then take the guy on the right, pull his story 50% over from the right to the middle, then I am getting close to the real truth.
Being bared, it's like a tattoo, a scar from a knife fight, a battle ribbon on a soldier’s shirt. Look at it like a pool hall badge of honor, a medal. The first one hurts because of the rejection and shame associated with it, then the 2nd one really does not matter to you, there are no shortages of places to play so who really cares. You just move on and roll with the punches. Don't cry about it, just give the guy the Italian salute and kick over his trash can going out the door. You should however later reflect, was it really me that caused this and if so, what can I do to prevent that from occuring again. If the owner was just being a Dick, then don't give it a 2nd thought.
