room size 8' table??

A good rule of thumb is to just add 10' to each dimension, so 14' X 18' for an 8-footer. Pool table companies will usually give smaller room-size requirements, but adding 10' will ensure that you have plenty of room to stroke a standard-length cue without hitting an obstruction. If you plan to have seating along one or more sides of the table, you'll probably need to add at least 12' to those dimensions. My room is about 17' wide, and I barely have enough room for seating along one side of my 9' table.
