Rosewood Burl?

Of course all of these pictures are courtesy of Mr. Paul Drexler. He's got the best stock of wood I've ever seen. And best part is he buys it in bulk so it just sits around aging, in a humidity controlled environment, just waiting for people like us to use it.

sweet - never tried any of his cues ... review ?
 
I've heard great things about his cues, they all play great. I personally have never tried one, but I'm sending a deposit so he can start making one for me. I'm sure I'll be able to post pictures throughout the process. The one thing I do know though, is that paul is a perfectionist, he goes above and beyond to find the best stuff he can. Some of the top cuemakers buy wood from paul. Hes got a new pin out that he described to me. Its a modified radial pin that he developed and had made in Europe. It provides more surface to surface contact between the pin and the shaft. His stock is quickly rising in my book.

He even makes a nice plain cue or merry widow for something like 800-1000 bucks.
 
thought this might interest someone

just went to rugby nd and picked up my cue from samsara. the points up and down are rosewood burl. my new favorite wood. jim and dave were great to work with.[/ATTACH][/ATTACH]
