Rubber Grip

class act

as class-less as it gets

Hey there... I was looking for a better "grip" on a wrapless cue. I know that 3c players use a rubber sleeve to provide traction; does anyone know where I can find some?

I saw the grips at Mueller's, but they look cheesey. Has anyone tried latex or surgical tubing?

Leather?

Sorry KV,

I could never get into leather wraps... They just don't feel right in my hand. besides, my cue has a gorgeous piece of quilted bubinga in the handle. I'd hate to cut the wrap groove in it!!!

Lmfao!!!!!

Geesh, you should be a comedian! I'm LMFAO right now just thinking at what a great grip I'll have on my cue when it's covered in spermicidal lubricant!

A local 3 cushion player here uses bicycle tire tube to put on his cue, he cuts to length and then turns it inside out and puts it on the cue....pretty resourceful idea and I guess thats how they used to do it in the old days.

This was actually just mentioned in another thread recently. I believe it was mentioned using Dr Zog's Sex Wax...more typically found in surf shops.

Whichever one of you is Chad. Sorry don't know because 95 percent of the people here have no name. They are on the way.

Not, Chad. But could you post pictures of your sleeves, maybe a price?

They look just like the ones from the above site, I bought them years ago and thru them in a draw after I watched a pro player ruin his case because he was foolish enough to keep it on when he put his cue away. And YES, I did laugh about it. Rule of thumb if it goes in tight and then unrolls when you take it out. THERE COULD BE A PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!

That's one of those you might not think about until the deed was done, but now that you mention It I certainly can see that happening, and I'll bet It's fun to remove after it gets jammed up. One destroyed case comming up;)

I also was told- if you leave the sleeve on your cue, not only can you damage your case. You also can do damage to your cue finish !!

You must sell them cheaper than me...Need to buy them from you Mr. Webb? :)

easy to get out if you catch it at the right time. when you notice it rolled up in your case..dont try to shove anything down there and push it to the bottom accidentally....leave it where it is and get a wire coat hanger..unravel it and make a slight hook about half the width of the tube...if you hit the center of the grip it will roll thru and you can hook the grip and pull it out. iv gotten a few napkins out of cases like that
