Rubber replacement pockets for leather/irons?

Does someone make a set of heavy duty rubber pockets that can be used to replace at least the more standard iron shapes and leather pockets?

I'm asking since the quote for replacing or repairing the existing pockets exceeds the current value of the tables (Olhausen Remingtons) themselves.

If I may what kind of quote are you getting to replace the pockets?

Replacement/repair service, based on the damage to each pocket leather. The irons are showing on half the pockets, and chipping the balls. I don't know if they have restoration (replacing leather bits) or replacement in mind, but parts and labor per table was over $300). Anyone off the street can buy a set of 6 good new leather pockets with irons for $125-$150 (I think), so I calculate they want $200 labor per table for installation labor.

Maybe that makes some sense since the rails have to come off, although it seems somewhat high. But since they would recloth the table at the same time, I can't see double-charging for the rail removal-reinstallation. They can, though, evidently.

The last time they put on new cloth they put the spots on the wrong end on 3 of the 4 tables, so the people sitting at nearby tables have to keep a wary eye at breaks.

Charging more than the cost of the pockets while doing a recovery is wrong. Where are you located?
