Rule check

In BCA is it allowed to intentionally foul by picking cue ball up and handing it to your opponent? I’m still confused after reading the rules.

Why not just tap it? But good question.

Just tap may not work, unless you mean use a legal stroke.

As explained in the applied ruling section:

“It is common for a player to want to end their inning without disturbing the lay of the
table. However, the only way to end your inning without violating Rule 1-40-b is to
attempt a legal stroke. Any other action, including refusing to shoot, is a violation of
Rule 1-40-b.”

In most cases you can get the same result by just shooting away from the balls, but I can think of instances where the CB is trapped and trying any legal stroke will open up the balls. I understand why the CSI rules call for a warning in first instance but in some cases I think the right result would be a loss of game without warning.

Taping the cue ball with your cue tip is a legal stroke as far as I know

Not under BCA/CSI rules. Second part in a second post.

Ask Ace. It would be great if you talk to her.

This is an experiment and I look forward to the corrections.
thanks for the link
i love it.....

I guess if there's a shot clock, you could wait for it to expire. When it's your turn to play, you have to shoot a shot.

There is nearly always something you can do to make it harder for your opponent who will be getting ball in hand anyway. Knock a ball to the far end of the table. Knock two balls together.
