Last one for a while - I promise (I think)
Obviously we have a tournament and there are some weird stuff occurring

The house has not drawn the triangle around the rack on any of the tables.
Since there is no line to see if a ball may be in the rack, it then legal to use the actual rack to see if the ball encroaches into the rack or is it a foul.
One individual seems to think it is a foul if you even hold it off the table.

After you get permission from the room, get some tailor's chalk and mark the racks lightly.

If they refuse permission to mark the tables, players clearly still have a right to know if a ball is in or out and the only available way to do that is to use the triangle.
 
We don't have lines around the triangle area either where I play, but have mad it a house rule that triangle can be used.
