Hello All,
I am trying to remember the rules to Cribbage. Since I haven't played it or even seen it played in my area for over 30 years, I referred my query to the rule book. To me or perhaps I am reading it wrong, the rules seem vague. Nevertheless, here is my question(s):
After the opening break and a ball is pocketed, must the player immediately shoot the match ball for a point. Example: The player breaks and makes the 13 ball. Is he/she required to shoot next the 2 ball? Can the player shoot for another matched pair to set up for a better shot for the 2? Example again: After the break, the 13 ball falls but the 2 ball is not available. There is; however, the five and 10 ball in a position where after shooting the five and then the 10 ball, the cue after pocketing the 10 ball will give better position for the 2 ball.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
