Rules for bridge use

Are there any rules constraining the type, length etc. for bridges? I've been playing for many years but I don't recall anything that might define this.

The only restriction on the use of bridges is that a maximum of two bridges can be used at the same time to execute a shot.

As far as I know, the length and shape are not specified in the BCA rule book.

SVB famously used two bridges and jumped a ball in the finals at last year's US 9-Ball Open.

1.3 Player’s Use of Equipment
The equipment must meet existing WPA equipment specifications. In general, players are not permitted to introduce novel equipment into the game. The following uses, among others, are considered normal. If the player is uncertain about a particular use of equipment, he should discuss it with the tournament management prior to the start of play.
