Rules of "check"

Can you tell me the rules of "check"

Can anybody tell me (or tell me where to find) the rules of a game called "check." I think it's played in the Southeast, and I think it's a pea pool game. Thanks in advance.

I didn't mean anything like that. That is just fine. People call me 'JR' most of the time. The Captain thing is just something my daughter started a long time ago. Usually on forums and the like I end up using CaptJR2 or 3 or something.

Hi-We used to play this in southern Virginia a long time ago, andI think this is how it goes-All players draw three pills-one for the break and two money balls-Lowest pill breaks-if anything goes player continues shooting-You may shoot the one ball up -the eight and then up or down from there-or the 15 and down-when a players first pill is made he says check, and if the second pill is made he says check out and is paid-We used to play for a dollar-the balls are racked randomly and everything goes back up on a scratch-hope this helps
 
sounds a lot like Kelly Pool, sometimes called pill pool,,,we play a version of it with a 9 ball rack,,,somebody makes your ball you owe them $,,,if you make your own ball everybody owes you $,,,,fun, unless you don't get a shot in 4 or 5 racks,,,LOL
