You can make 9 perfect strokes and miss 9 shots in a row if you can't aim correctly consistently....
If you cant put a string of 9 virtually perfect strokes together in a row you will not run a rack out, even if a you have a laser going from your cue to the contact point. My tip for 2012
My stroke is so straight I can sometimes sink a ball using only one hand. Why don't you put your money where your mouth is and try that :grin-square:
it cant be that straight if you can only do it sometimes haha :grin-square:
Oh it is. Once I even made a shot one handed without my friend bridging the cue. Eat your heart out.
i bet your last miss had to do with your stroke and not your aim, since i believe your an experienced player.![]()
And they call Efren "the magician"!! without out a doubt in my mind you are the true magician :thumbup:

Renfro missed the above bold in my original post, i would take the perfect mechanics over an aiming issue or strategical problem...my opinion

Duh!You HAVE to be able to hit what you're aiming at. And at the same time you MUST have the correct aiming point. And you may need some sort of control over the CB. Oh, game savy may just come into play (pattern play) also. But, it does take the 'hole' package. Right, Champ.
Oh BTW how was the evening last Friday? Were you able to empty enough beer bottles to practice your stroke? ...lol

Here is another tip! if you cant shoot off the rails with 100% confidence, that's a big sign your stroke is flawed and needs to be fixed.
and for the others, i know if i dont hit the aim point i will miss or if i dont chalk i will miss cue and if some steals my cue i wont have one to play with or if the hall closes i will have no table.
