Run This (29)

Hitting it with a little draw, This is what I'm seeing/thinking of. Not sure how well it would work on the table, but this is what I see in my mind...
edit: Position would have to be pretty precise with this option as well though

CueTable Help

I think it's too easy to scratch off of that. If you must use the 5-ball, I'd say avoid the side and hit the foot rail with left english to catch the bottom of the rack and come out off the lower long rail.

Or how about using Steve Lipsky's break shot? I've practiced it a bit, and it works great if you can learn which angles it works for and which it doesn't. I think the cue ball doesn't hit the pack hard enough to scratch, yet enough to spread some balls for you to continue a run.

CueTable Help

That's it... after I get out of this hell hole (work) I'm setting up the shot and seeing what works, and what doesn't.

The more I think about my shot, the more if feels like you have to get precise position on the 5 for it to work... not my favorite

Looks like a simple run

8,1,6,7,2,9,5
Stop on the 8 in the corner.
Stop on the 1 in opposite corner
Shoot the six in corner and draw up slightly for the 7...stop on the 7
Roll the 2 ball in the side
Shoot the 9 up in the corner and stop or slightly draw (get pretty straight on the 5 in the side)
Shoot the 5 letting cue ball follow to the rail and bounce out slightly for a break shot on the 4
