Run this rack, how?

Solartje I appreciate your input I think I just might try the same thing. I didn't give it much thought to set the same layout up and try it again somebody elses way.

Also I got pretty good position with the draw to close it out like this:

START(
%An0P3%Bf3D2%Cm5L1%Db3X0%En1Q6%F`5P5%Gk1S5%Hr7N8%Il8D1%MZ2S0
%Pe9R2%U\0R9%Ve1R2%Yh1E1%ZZ8R6
)END

what do you do with this....START(
%An0P3%Bf3D2%Cm5L1%Db3X0%En1Q6%F`5P5%Gk1S5%Hh0F2%I l8D1%Jf0G9
%Kk1P6%Le6P5%MZ2S0%Ne1Z0%OT8D6%Pr2D5
)END

i have seen this before. where do you type that in?

foxyman (aka renard), there are always different good options. i know i wouldnt play the shot u posted with my crappy barrcue. i woudnt feel comfortable AT all. im "maybe" on a good day a C player, and my straight record is something like 1.5 rack, so really dont trust anything i say :) im just a noob trying to look like a Pro player :p

edit: u can call me solly :D solartje is just the official name, and u are welcome.

Click on the quick links at the very top of this page and you will see a wei table drop down- click on it

Then go back to the start end stuff, highlite the whole thing- right click -copy it

Then on the wei table you will see a "paste" bar just below the table- left click on it.

In pool as in life you can learn from anyone. I love teaching the game and you would be surprised what I learn in those exchanges.

Am I a C, B, or A player? I couldnt tell you. When I traveled the counrty I found that a C in one part of the country was more like a B in another part. I hold my own though. I've won plenty of tournaments and gambled, but there are bigger fish than me out there.

I'll say this Solly, I like the thinking part of the game. Unraveling the puzzles to running out or running out to a safety. Imput from others lets me test other theories or just confirms that I did it pretty much how everyone else would.

As they say there are plenty of ways to skin a cat (Run a rack.)

ill drink one to that. cheers m8 *gets a beer in the fryg*

about the ABC, i must say i have no idea either what i am and im not conserned... i like paterns and the thinking part ALOT too. some play pool for 10 years and then start thinking of patterns, mental part of the game, in the zone drills, etc to get further.
i just started to play, and having no cue at all and playing in the worst poolhall in the WORLD!! (ok its a karaokebarr, but still!! u can play pool)... well i cant practice much, untill i can get one reasonable cue. so im spending most of my time doing the things most do at the end of there learning phase right at the beginning.

:p

ow did i tell u im weird?

be free to post more of these runout questions. im ADDICTED to them. (change that to: U MUST post more runouts )

ps: thx for calling me solly. :) feels weird to be called solartje even if its my offical nickname
ps2: whas i right with the foxyman nickname? or just coinsidence your name means fox in french?

Renard is my given middle name. My father liked the meaning of the name (sly, wise, cunning.) Yes it is French but I use it as my user name to honor my father who died 30 years ago.

Take care Solly!

Renard: i woudnt feel confident drawing on the first shot either. The 12 has to go in the middle pockets, wich are always tough. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
edit3: gonna train after dinnertime, ill do this runout and tell u where i went wrong, or if i did runout ;)

i think we're all getting real good with the image editor. i like your faded circular area:):):)

Bruin and Solartje diefintiely gave some good analysis here. I just happen to approve of prioritizing clearing your rails here. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.

just to switch topic because this thread is so damned good.....i rather like a rail ball AT THE END GAME (14.1). i understand the need to clear it up in midgame. but one thing about a rail ball is there's no "wrong side of the ball". there's only the one side, so all i have to plan is how i come off it.

while, on normal shots, getting on the wrong side of the ob means one has to do something "extraordinary" to get back in line, a rail shot offers mulitple approaches, and ALL based on coming off the one rail. the rail also offers an easy position technique because it's very forgiving.

we can get back to 8ball, now:):)

*just keeping this thread on page one:):):)

bruintje, let it die and post a new one!!!

yeah got to love my drawing skills. :p photoshop all the way. thats what happens when u got to much free time.

edit: ill sell my drawings 1$ / piece if u want. maybe i can buy me a cue to practice what i preach soon then :D
