I'm assuming many of you saw the news that Rutger Hauer has been cast to star in the upcoming snooker movie "Break." As such, I went into my archives and surfaced the interview I did with the movie's writer/director Michael Elkin. Here's my blog post -- enjoy! http://www.billiardsmovies.com/break-in-production/

I like the concern of not too much of this and too little of that. Inserting reality and world events into the mix ''makes it''. By balancing the play time... the story line and lives of those on screen, is good thinking. The beauty of the Hustler movie, was the intermix of life and pain and happiness along the way. Having Paul Newman sitting in a cheap booth with his new girl friend was Classic. Having Jackie Gleason and George C. Scott as key actors....didn't hurt.

I'm currently working on my Evelyn Wanderone/interview of her 40+ years with Rudolph aka Minnesota Fats (video/audio/shot 22 yrs ago 6 weeks after he passed) The interview, I planned it out....had done some college production work/classroom/control trucks/real life shoots so I had an idea of what I wanted/History Channel stuff. The interview had all their life parts, from the Very first moment they met, his first words, when his dad died, etc, till 44 years later when they said....''we didn't want no more of each others business''.
