Your preshot routine and the shot itself are the motions of your rhythm.

Rhythm is broken down into cadence and tempo.
-Cadence is the beats per cycle.
-Tempo is the speed or rate of motion your body adapts to.

If you have a clear knowledge of your cadence, you can find your tempo more easily. (Your tempo will often vary from time to time.)

Cadence is tough to find but I suggest video taping yourself to find what your cadence is as you run thru some racks.

An example of cadence can closely be compared to music. The simple 1-2-3-4 or even a 1-2-3-4-5-6. Think of every movie you have seen on TV of a dance instructor teaching someone to dance while giving them the cadence.

You can then check every cadence you can think of with that video tape of yourself.
