In safety play if an object ball is frozen on the rail near the side pocket and is struck so it strikes another ball on the other side of the side pocket then the rail is this considered hitting another rail or the same rail? No other balls except the struck object ball touches a rail is this a legal safety? I guess the question is whether the long rail is considered one or two rails for safety play? Could tell whose rule book this is found in as I have heard it both ways? I found an answer in World Standardized Rules 3.38 (d)
