"When should you move your child from a booster seat to an adult seat belt?

Your child should stay in a booster seat until the adult seat belt fits him or her properly. This is usually when your child reaches
4'9" in height and is about 8 years old. Please make sure that your child meets all of the following requirements for a proper seat belt fit:

1. The lap belt should be low across the upper thighs or hips, not across the abdomen.
2. The shoulder belt should lie across the chest and shoulder, not touching the neck or face.
3. Your child should be able to sit with his or her back straight against the vehicle seat back with knees bent at the seat's edge without slouching.
4. Your child should be able to ride this way for the entire trip."

Just want to make sure you are driving safe. Seems like you barely scrapped by the regs. If you need a booster seat I bet we can take up some donations here on AZ. I'll throw in the first $5. If you're lucky we can raise enough for one with pink flowers and just a lap belt....for skirts.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Aren't you just so funny. I just burst out laughing and now everyone here is looking at me funny, well they kind of do that anyway. Good thing I had that last little growth spurt to put me over the limit for needing a booster seat.

I guess you will have to come up with something else to take up donations for...my birthday is coming up in about a month and a half or so.

I was 14 before I was 4'9" tall (a freshman in Jr. High). Gee, I would have felt just a little embarrased if I had had to sit in a booster seat .... lol
