I'm sorry I haven't gotten a pic on here yet. As I say, you should be able to see a pic on facebook @ Brock Waldron. I've noticed 209 looks at this post and am hoping someone somewhere will be able to help me with direction to find accurate history or help me speak with the Stellman family. I am new to the internet and espcially specialty sites like this. Even hints on how to post a pic for all to be able to see would help. I have tried to send pics to this website from my phone only to get a return message "website does not appear to be valid. The pic does not do the cue any justice, but is out there just the same. On the same note the cue itself is not the picture perfect ivory work this gentleman is famous for, yet what seems to be rather plain with no points so to speak on the base of the cue. There are 5 places where the McDermott clover inlays have been replaces by circular inlays ( was told they are emerald by the previous owner). The base looks to be very rustic and has beautiful natural wear in the finish. the shaft is impeccable turned down to a 9mm concave through the crutching area on a concave to signify proper stroke brought back up to a 10-1/2 mm tip which I have spent many hours shaping inside a dime. ( sory if this offends any nickle tippers ) I beleive in them very much as well. but the ammount of effortless english, and watching the ball push from the fine point on the small tip is incredible. I am prounfoundly impressed at the action this cue delivers, even more impressed at the resuts when you play outside and compensate the push. This is truley a wonderful piece of art and a more incredible "war club" if you are one of the players who consider this beautiful sport as a battle. As I may have said, the english is effortless and with the right push of the rock incredible things can happen. So I ask to all again....any info you might have on the origination of the o.g. McDermott and also the ability to thank Mr. Frank "Sailor" Stellman would be for me a lifetime achievement. I hosneslty believe in giving credit where it is due and a very sincere Thank You. This has nothing to do with the cash value of the cue as I know it is priceless even if not to the rest of the community, it is to me. Any readers with any knowledge please reply. You can reach me on facebook by name if you prefer.
