Sales feedback search on AZB?

Is there any way to know if a seller or buyer is reliable on AZB? I see the buyer/ seller transaction report, and the itrader, but it would be nice to just go to a strictly sales feedback forum that you could search for a user by name in. I have noticed some people getting screwed by newer members who don't ship items the buyers have paid for.... Have tried searching for some users on here and i can't tell the difference.... Who is new and who isn't. Just because a user has been a member on the forum for a long time doesn't mean much to me, with the people who come and go and find these via internet searches....

I frequent another forum for buying and selling softball bats. They have a separate section in the forum for Sales Feedback. You can search that section for member names you are contemplating a deal with. Rules there state that if a member is newer or has little or no feedback, if selling something, they are required to ship the item first. (Provided the buying user has good feedback) After receiving the item, buyer will send payment. This eliminates most people who try to come on here just to scam board members. If you aren't willing to ship first being a noob, GTFO. Now on the other hand, if a seller has good feedback, there is no problem at all paying first. In that forum, they list a seller as GTG (good to go) and most users have a GTG link in their signature, they create a thread and link it to a list of people they have had good deals with.

The only thing i've seen on here for posting a good sales experience is 1 post everyone can post their experiences in. Problem with this is, if i search someone by name here, it may bring that post up, but it is how many pages long??

Wondering if the mods would be willing to make a section like this. LMK any opinions or suggestions. Or if you agree, let's get this done!

Yeah the search function is poorly implemented. Not only do links to results fail to take you to the instance of the term you searched, but they limit search words to 4 characters or more. I can't search for Sly Cue lol. Oh and good luck if it DOES find something in a thread with 8,000 posts. Might as well not even bother returning results in threads that big.

I completely agree that we need a SECTION for buyer/seller transaction reports. Not one thread. Whoever thought that one up (and never fixed it once they realized it doesn't do shit) deserves a medal.

Bumping this up to get more input or mods attention. A mod mentioned dealing through a escrow service... Need to research that one, not familiar with it. The way i look at it, if a board member is well respected or has good feedback on here, new people should have no problem shipping first. I guess you can look up itrader, but not everyone leaves feedback on that. Or if the mods would create a sales feedback section, everyone could create their own GTG sales feedback thread in there and edit it every so often to update their own personal list.... Please chime in here anybody....

a seperate forum will help but in reality theres nothing you can do to stop scammers....what if 2 "new" people are making a deal? then who sends first?? see what i mean?, no matter what you do, people will still get burnt...the ONLY safe way is a escrow service which is expensive(imho)... i used escrow once on my car forum for a $2,000 turbo and the dude wanted straight percentage, which was alot i felt to accept a item and $ and ship...never would do again unless it was a very big $ item and/or no paypal protection...
i dont know what anyone charges on here but id offer escrow for staright fee...something realistic and fair like 10-15$..
i think the forum would help feedback wise but i highly doubt alotta people will ship first, the main part is no protection... with paying first, you have paypal protection...anyone who sends a money order or western union are asking for trouble...

lets see if a mod can chime in? would it be that difficult to add another forum section?

The forum i post on is softballfans. The forum rules state if you are a new member, you will probably have to ship first. In the matter of 2 new members.... Flip a coin i guess. I would much rather see a section of the forum where i can type in a members name and it would bring up the posts they have had deals in, or bring them up in a members good deal list.
